Urfi Javed shares emotional struggle from dealing with hate and trolling; know about the psychological impact of being in the spotlight

‘Bigg Boss OTT’ fame Urfi Javed, who is known for her experimental outfit choices, has opened up about the effect of constant bullying and trolling on her mental health. In a now-deleted Instagram story, Urfi expressed that the hate made her want to give up.

She wrote: “Being constantly bullied and trolled sometimes makes me crazy. I cried, I cried a lot but I guess life goes on. You just need to be friends, people who don’t understand you don’t matter! Normally I’m fine but today is a very rare day where I feel like giving up. Sometimes it makes me feel uncomfortable! Hate, abuse, trolling, bullying, rape threats, death threats, what else.”

While most of us imagine the fame of being a celebrity will bring us happiness, it also has its downsides. Excessive exposure to the media can be extremely damaging to a person’s psychological functioning.
