Occasionally in 2018, I talked to someone who thought suicide. She cried inseparable and continued to repeat on the loop, ‘I don’t want to live.’ She told me how she tried some help but they could help very little and she decided to end her life. Not sure about how to handle the situation, I asked her to tell me how she felt. Therefore, starting a series of allegations towards her loved ones, friends, therapist and even general life. She had a conflict that was happening in her mind about the worth of her life while also rationalizing her value. I was a bit panicked, because it suddenly felt like Onus was on me to make her change her mind. I just listened silently, sometimes ‘I understood’ to let her know I was paying attention. But not all those who are planning to end their lives receive calls that can help them change their minds. I remember what the clinical psychologist, Dr. Rachna K Singh shared with me once, it is important that you show empathy to people with depression and give them a headset. Most people make the biggest mistake when saying, ‘Be strong!’, ‘You cannot act so weak’, can fight them because their heads say exactly the opposite of what you Saying. Sometimes suicide thoughts or persistent depression may be due to chemical imbalance and they do not have any control over it. And by telling them they are weak, you can push them to the edge. Talking about suicide thoughts, Dr. Girishchandra, SR.’s consultant, psychiatric, Aster CMI Hospital shared, most suicide people ponder until the last minute they should do. However, there is a small percentage of people who show a certain calm once they have decided. This unexpected calm in someone who felt completely hopeless could be a warning sign. This calm sometimes comes from the illusion that makes them believe that it is the best choice to leave their bodies. This happens between the elderly after losing their relatives who do not see everything changes and decide to end everything. This makes it all more important to listen to their conversations. Those who are close to them will be able to receive signals. Sometimes even a last -minute call from a friend can make them change their minds. Even a call from a random person sometimes worked in removing his thoughts, Dr. Girishchandra added. Mumbai -based clinical psychologist and a centralized therapist, Dr. Seema Hingorrany shared two types of people trying to end their lives. One person, who pondered it for a long time and had ‘suicide’ as a long thought in their heads, but the second and more dangerous people were those who did it in a impulsive way. They tried to commit suicide because of an activation, which could be caused by a war with a spouse, refusal, losing their jobs, poor performance. Their logic mind was turned off and they made extreme steps. There are times when suicidal people want to be saved – they take medicine around people they know they will immediately seek help with health and restore them. But hanging yourself in a locked room means you have completely given up hope. Talking about Sushant Singh Rajput, Dr. Hingorrank said, we don’t know how he felt the world or activate his emotions. Only closed people can know about their bruises. Each person is dealing with many luggage, a breakup that is never healed, injured in children and depression is only another symptom. As we all know, Sushant is a successful person. He has the best points and a lifelong person. Sometimes we set expectations to become a struggle for management. Those who were close to him shared that he was fighting to reach an agreement with his mother’s loss, which could be an activation. Loss is very serious. It can be scars for life. And everyone has a journey to deal with their own loss. Some people take a year, others can take 10 years – and we should respect the speed of people instead of denying their feelings, Mr. Rachna K Singh added. Most psychologists and psychiatrists have received panic calls since yesterday from their patients or their relatives who want to know whether they will eventually take their lives. The truth is, those who are worried, depressed or other mental problems are having difficulty in the course. Worse, those who do not handle these problems are also showing signs, making people constantly pay attention to the signs. The persistent negative, hopeless, helpless emotions, frequent and frequent anger and frequent annoyance are also red warnings – and are the biggest when mental health problems make them not active. . The demons in their heads are telling them that they are worthless when they live, so listen to them and try to understand their concerns. If you feel the problem is out of your control, please fix an appointment with a therapist and help them help!
