Can you imagine losing the middle joints in your fingers instantly? And life has become much more difficult, because even writing and typing is almost impossible.
A Reddit user with the nickname JayFayad shared a picture of his hand online, it turned out his fingers were missing joints so they couldn’t bend.
It’s a rare genetic disorder that affects bone development called sympathomimesis.
As soon as he posted a photo of his hand on Reddit, this post immediately went viral, attracting many likes and comments with questions about his life that the author decided to answer:
“Basically I can handle everything, but writing and typing can be difficult, but I’m fine with the mouse. I can open a jar of pickles easily. The most annoying thing is when the pen falls out of my hand, because I can’t hold it tightly so it seems to balance on my finger” – he said.
“It’s not that I don’t know how a person with normal hands would feel, I have no other choice, so this condition seems completely normal to me.”
He also recalled an unpleasant moment from his childhood related to sports:
“When I was 7 years old, I was playing baseball and the coach scolded me so much that I finally picked up the ‘normal’ bat and just pressed my fingers to grasp the bat. It really hurts.”
