Easier to find a needle in a haystack than three rabbits in this picture.

The three children often like to wander in the woods, which is exactly five minutes’ walk from their house. The eldest sister, named Angelina, always carries with her a small basket given to her by her grandmother. Usually, Angelina will pick from the forest a basket full of mushrooms or a basket full of berries.

Today our heroes set off on a hike again to bring back berries and mushrooms, which pleased their parents. But as soon as they stepped outside the mansion gates, their brother Kostya discovered some red berries on the ground.

They are small in size and so numerous that the children do not need to go into the forest; they can fill their baskets without leaving home.

What are these berries? Of course, it’s the strawberry – a herbaceous perennial plant and the most popular species of the Rose family. The height of strawberry bushes reaches 20 cm.

Wild strawberries are widely distributed around the world. Its habitat range includes the European part of Russia, Siberia, parts of the Urals, Altai, the Caucasus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Baltic countries, forests of Ukraine and Belarus, and some regions of America.

But the thing is, not only do children like strawberries, but rabbits also love them.
