In one of the municipalities of our homeland, there lived a couple named John and Sarah. John is a hard-working man who takes care of his family but is forgetful. He forgets to buy groceries on the way home from work or forgets to make important phone calls. On the other hand, Sarah is a perfectionist and cannot accept any mistakes.
One day, John and Sarah were at home and Sarah asked John to pick up groceries on the way home from work. John, as always forgetful, returned home empty-handed. Sarah was furious and called him a “donkey” for forgetting the groceries.
John, being a good sport, decided to play along. He put on donkey ears and started bleating like a donkey. Sarah couldn’t help but laugh, quickly the tension in the room dissipated.
From that day on, whenever John forgot something, Sarah jokingly called him “donkey,” and John would follow suit, putting on his donkey ears and bleating.
One day, they were at a family gathering and John forgot to bring the dessert he promised to bring. Sarah, as usual, called him a donkey. But this time, John decided to go one step further. He put on his full donkey outfit with tail and hooves and began bleating loudly.
Everyone gathered was stunned, but soon they couldn’t help but laugh when they saw John in a donkey costume. Sarah saw everyone laughing and joined in and started bleating like a donkey.
From that day on, John and Sarah’s family and friends started calling John “Donkey John” and it became a popular joke among them.
