Young people are proud and older people are wise; Young people are naive, adults know everything; Young people are kind, adults are aggressive; There are some erroneous beliefs that connect age to behavior without any logic.
“An emerging area of research in the field of Industrial-Organizational Psychology examines age-related beliefs from two different but intertwined perspectives. Research on age stereotypes examines the content and the impact of beliefs about people of other age groups. Stereotypes about young people, for example, may be that they are narcissistic,” a Harvard Business Review report said.
This theory causes young people to think that others think they are narcissistic even when they are not.
These flaws are actively used in the workplace and home, creating a group of young people who constantly doubt themselves.
